Dr. Katherine “Katie” Ranton (she/her/hers) is a postdoctoral fellow who is dedicated to helping adults develop a better understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their world through individual therapy and psychological evaluations. She specializes in trauma, interpersonal difficulties, relationship distress, anxiety, depression, grief, spiritual/religious issues, identity concerns, and psychological assessments.

Dr. Ranton earned her Psy.D. in Health Service Psychology in 2022 from the University of Houston Clear Lake and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Oklahoma Health Consortium. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Psychologist through her Postdoctoral Fellowship. She has experience in university counseling centers, community mental health, and neuropsychology clinics, serving adult clients with a variety of mental health concerns and life circumstances.

Additionally, Dr. Ranton has specialized training in trauma focused therapy, interpersonal relationships, and couples therapy using the Gottman Method. Dr. Ranton believes in creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic atmosphere in which clients feel valued and supported throughout their life journey. She has been described as open, accepting, compassionate, and warm, as she strives to help clients understand their internal world to help foster growth, change, and emotional healing. Dr. Ranton uses an integrative approach founded upon person centered, relational, and acceptance-based frameworks tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • For all other insurance companies or out-of-network plans, she will provide you with a superbill that you can file with your insurance company for reimbursement.
