We’re Hiring!

If you’re a licensed psychologist or looking for post-doctoral opportunities, we’d love to connect! Stepping Stone Therapy is a flourishing private practice and we are always interested in adding great psychologists to our team.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re seeking doctoral level psychologists (PhD or PsyD) who are either licensed or provisionally licensed in Texas. We also offer a post-doctoral training program for newly graduated psychologists.

We’re seeking clinicians who are warm, flexible, collaborative, and who have strong interpersonal skills. A commitment to providing excellent clinical care is essential. We are looking for people who are independent, driven, hard-working, and self-motivated. The ability to build and maintain a strong rapport with clients is essential.

Our current therapists have a wide range of theoretical orientations – we aren’t looking for a specific one, but we are looking for a therapist who has a theoretically based, knowledgeable approach to therapy with a strong ability to conceptualize. Thorough graduate training, supervision, and clinical background including work with brief and long term individual psychotherapy is important.

The psychologist that would work best in our practice is:

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Able to create a warm, supportive environment for clients
  • Open to feedback and development opportunities
  • Culturally conscious and knowledgeable, LGBTQ+ friendly
  • Willing to see around 25+ clients per week
  • Able to work either early mornings, a few evenings a week, or weekend
  • Located near or able to drive to the Webster area easily

We’re always interested in hiring good psychologists, no matter what your speciality, but we currently have a huge need for therapists with the following interests/ experience:

  • Working with children and adolescents
  • Working with couples
  • Assessments
  • Autism assessments
  • Play therapy
  • Family therapy

Our office:

Our practice is primarily insurance-based, although we do have some self-pay clients. We are located in a suburban community and see a variety of ages and presenting concerns. Our clients are generally high-functioning adults, teens, and children typically presenting for therapy for anxiety or mood disorders or for assistance in coping with various life stressors and transitions.

The majority of our services are individual therapy, and we also offer couples therapy and family therapy. We also provide evaluations on a broad range of mental health concerns from ADHD to Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as bariatric evaluations to help patients prepare for successful surgical interventions.

Currently, the majority of our psychologists work from home using HIPAA-compliant telehealth software. This is an option for any applicant for this job.

Why join our team?

First of all, we have plenty of clients for you! We have many more people interested in our services than we can currently see, and we would love to have quality therapists join us so that we can better serve our community. In addition, this environment is a perfect place for people who want the freedom and flexibility of private practice but aren’t interested in the office lease, marketing, insurance issues, etc. that come along with it. You also will have a great balance between working independently but also having a supportive team around you. We have a great team of psychologists who are very collaborative and helpful with each other.

We provide:

  • EHR, phone system
  • steady stream of referrals
  • competitive compensation
  • Training on processes, tools, etc.
  • All assessment materials
  • Billing and credentialing support
  • dedicated medical biller to coordinate benefits/eligibility
  • dedicated intake coordinator to answer phones and schedule intake appointments
  • Comfortable, fully furnished office space in a brand new, modern building
  • Supportive team environment

If any of this sounds like a good fit for you, please email a cover letter and your CV to elil@steppingstonetherapy.org. (Also, it often takes several months to onboard a new psychologist, so please feel free to reach out anytime, even if it would be several months before you’d be able to start.)

Thank you for your interest!
