Sara Esfandi

Sara Esfandi (she/her/hers) is currently a master’s student in clinical psychology at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University, earned in 2022.

Sara focuses on working with adults and couples who are navigating a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, and stress. She has research experience in women’s health and provides support to women experiencing peri- and postpartum distress, as well as other hormone-related concerns.

Sara strives to create a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, warmth, and understanding, where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She views therapy as a collaborative process and works to meet each client’s unique needs. Her clinical approach is primarily client-centered, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills while maintaining a holistic perspective that prioritizes each client’s unique needs, values, and lived experiences.
