Lina Jadoon

Lina Jadoon (she/her/hers) is a graduate counseling intern currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating magna cum laude. During her undergraduate training, Lina served as a research assistant at the Family Research Lab at UT Dallas, where she gained exposure to research on family dynamics, relational functioning, and psychosocial
development.

Her clinical interests include individual therapy, with a focus on concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and interpersonal or relational difficulties. Lina is committed to providing culturally responsive care and enjoys working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. She strives to create an inclusive therapeutic environment that honors clients’ identities, values, and lived experiences while supporting them in working toward their personal goals.
Lina has clinical training experience in a trauma-focused setting, where she developed an understanding of early childhood trauma and the ways unresolved trauma may present later in adolescence and adulthood. This experience has shaped her interest in working with trauma-related concerns and the long-term impact of early relational and environmental experiences across the lifespan.

Lina approaches therapy from an integrative, client-centered perspective, drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioral and trauma-informed frameworks, while incorporating additional evidence-based approaches as appropriate. She values a collaborative, respectful, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and believes therapy is most effective when it is tailored to each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Lina holds a strengths-based view of clients and believes individuals already possess the capacity for growth and healing, with therapy serving as a space to increase insight, develop coping strategies, and foster meaningful change.
