Dr. Chi-Chi Anderson is a native of Washington, D.C., and specializes in working with young adults, adolescents, school-aged children, and their families. She practices various therapy modalities, such as accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Dr. Anderson strongly encourages learning about and from her clients through a cultural background and upbringing lens and is devoted to learning from her clients’ culture, diversity, and ethnic backgrounds. Her passions revolve around Afrocentrism, social justice, advocacy, and Black empowerment within the Black/African American communities.
Dr. Anderson earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Washington, D.C. campus) and completed her APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology at The MECCA Group, LLC in Washington, D.C. Her two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Child and Family Psychology and the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (DAYAM) was completed at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Chi-Chi Anderson is a Licensed Psychologist with Provisional Status with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council/Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (Texas License #40803).
