Alicia Lopez is a provisionally-licensed psychologist who works with trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, mood-related difficulties and chronic pain. She offers therapy in both English and Spanish.
Alicia’s approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based
care. She draws from acceptance-based behavioral therapies, along with a liberation-focused
lens, to provide trauma-informed treatment that is responsive to each client’s lived experiences.
She strives to meet clients where they are, creating a space where they feel seen, valued, and
supported as they work toward meaningful change that aligns with what matters most to them.
She is intentional about tailoring therapy to each person’s unique background, including their
culture, values, identity, and social context.
She has experience working in university counseling centers, medical settings, and community
mental health. Alicia works with adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma,
grief, mood-related difficulties, and chronic pain. She has worked with individuals from a range
of backgrounds, including immigrant communities and military and veteran populations, and
those coping with injury, medical trauma, and recovery after accidents.
Alicia graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2026.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston and her master’s
degree in clinical psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
Outside of her clinical work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her dogs, exploring nature, and
going to concerts.
