Nisa is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Health Service Psychology/Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University.
Nisa has received clinical training in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, and nonprofit organizations. She primarily works with adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She also supports clients with identity development, self-esteem, and stress management. In addition, Nisa has experience conducting autism and ADHD assessments.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centered, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care. Nisa strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals.
Nisa is fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and English. Outside of therapy, she enjoys traveling, cooking, listening to music, and watching comedy specials.
