Dr. Yarden Finder (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist who specializes in therapy for adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disorders, and intellectual disability. She enjoys working with twice-exceptional and neurodiverse individuals of all ages to find solutions for the unique ways in which their minds work. Dr. Finder obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Doctor of Psychology program and is licensed as both a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
As a therapist, Dr. Finder uses evidence-based treatments to address her clients’ concerns and teach them skills that allow them to “be their own therapist” as they actively improve their functioning and well-being. Her solution-focused, strengths-based approach allows clients to learn coping and problem-solving skills that they can return to again and again throughout their lifetime. The tools that she draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy help her clients learn how to change the longstanding patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behavior that hinder rather than help them.
If you have been wondering why you or a loved one has been struggling, or you are seeking new ways to approach old problems, Dr. Finder invites you to connect with her.
(Note: Yarden is pronounced like the words YARD + DEN, with the emphasis on the second syllable — DEN.)
